Applications are invited from Indian Citizens (Male) for filling up the following, post in Home Guards Department, Assam. Applications should be submitted in the Standard Form of application published in part-IX of the Assam Gazette along with the attested copies of certificates in support of Age, Qualification
and calte for S/C, ST(P), ST(H), OBC, MOBC with 11*5 cm self addressed five rupees stamped envelope to the Director General of Civil Defence and Commandant General of Home Guards, Assam, Beltola, Guwahati 28.

  4. Barber (4 posts)
  5. Cobbler (5 posts)

Physical Fitness:
I)                   Must have sound health both mentally and physically and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his duty.
II)                The candidates will be required to height as per medical standard.
III)             Weight should be required to undergo for medical examination before appointment to the service.

The eligible candidates will have to appear before the Selection Board for trade test at their own expense.

Last Date: 24th December 2014

Age limit: 18 to 38 years as on 01.08.2014

Educational Qualification:
I)                   The minimum qualification is class-VIII Pass.
II)                Trade Knowledge
III)             Certificate of good character from
                                                              i.      The Principal/Headmaster of College/School in which he/ She studied last.
                                                            ii.      Two respectable persons who are well acquainted with but not related to the Candidate.

Conditions:
(a)    The candidate will submit two copies of his recent passport size photograph duly attested by Gazetted officer alon with the application form. One of the copy shall be pasted in the Standard Application Form. The other copy should be submitted along with the application form.
(b)   The candidate belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC shall have to submit attested copy of the caste certificate in prescribed form issued by Deputy Commissioner concerned.
(c)    The applications received with incomplete information and without required documents will be summarily rejected.
(d)   The upper age limit in caste of reservation category is relaxabele as per rule.
(e)    Selected candidates will be appointed on receipt of medical fitness certificate and satisfactory police verification report on character and antecedent.
(f)    The application should be sent in closed sealed cover with marking “Application for the Post of …………..”
(g)   The application received after 24.12.2014 will not be accepted even on plea of postal delay.
(h)   The applicants who are Government employee must apply through proper channel.
(i)     After satiny of applications, eligible candidates will be called for physical screening test/physical efficiency test/ personality test at their own cost for which no TA/DA will be borne by the Government though individual calling letter, date, time and venue for the same will be sent in permanent/correspondence address of the candidate.
(j)     Canvassing directly or indirectly for the post shall invite disqualification.
(k)   No application shall be received through any private cornier service.
(l)     Government servants joining the service of State Government on 1st February/2005 shall not be governed by existing Assam Services (Pension) Rules, 1969 and orders issued there from time to time. So far as their pension and other retirement benefits are concerned, they will be governed by new set of Pension Rules, which are being formulated in line with the contributory pension Scheme announced by Government of India recently..
