VIVA test and reading skill will be conducted for the posts of Cook, in the Fire  & Emergency Service, Assam, Guwahati against 04 (four) numbers of existing vacancy of Backlog of this Department in the scale of pay Band (PB- I) Rs. 4560 – 15000/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules. Interview will be
conducted at the office of the Addl. Director General of Police-cum-Director of Fire & Emergency Services, Assam, Panbazar, Guwahati -781001 on 28.04.2015 from 09 A.M. onwards. No call letters will be issued for the purpose. Application in standard form with necessary documents can be dropped in the box kept for the above purpose at the office of the undersigned upto 27.02.2015. Application sent by post to be received not later than the said date. Application submitted or received after the fixed date will not be entertained. The application may be submitted by post/courier etc.
Appointment of the aforesaid posts will be done in accordance with the provision of Assam SC & ST reservation vacancies Act. 1978.

Educational Qualification: Minimum educational qualification should be read upto class- VI from a recognized Institution

Age: Candidates should not less than 18 (eighteen) years and more than 38 (thirty eight) years of age as on 01.01.2015 with relaxation of five years case of SC and two years in case of Ex-Serviceman of the Govt.

How to Apply:
The candidates must submit their application in a standard form along with two recent passport size photographs attested copies of certificates to the Addl. Director General of Police-cum-Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam Panbazar, Guwahati-781001. Certificates without attested will be rejected. Candidates may collect their No. on the day of the interview from the office of the Addl. Director General of Police-cum-Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam, personally against production of proof of identity.
Candidates may bring all the certificates in original at the time of interview to be produced the same before the Selection Board, (i.e. age proof, caste PRC, educational qualification etc.) failing which their candidature will not be considered.

Selection Procedure:
The candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will appear before the Selection Board for Viva and reading skill. The successful candidates will be selected for appointment on merit basis on their performance in the tests subject to Police verification report and medical fitness. Experienced and trained personnel from a recognized Institute will get preference.

Total Marks for Viva/Oral Test:
Reading = 05, Viva = 05, neatness = 05, Total = 15 marks.
All the candidates who are likely to be appointed will be governed by new pension rules as approved by the Govt. of Assam.
No TA/DA will be given to the candidate to appear the interview/tesst.
Canvassing directly or indirectly will be treated as disqualification.
